OK, I am "smart phone stupid" ( just got one and still trying to figure out what all I can do). What's a widget?

A widget is a small running program on your homescreen that most of the time automatically updates from the internet with information you need. Examples, the weather widget, Facebook or Twitter widgets.

You pretty much don't have to touch an icon to get useful information, simply by looking at it you are supplied by information.

Every widget is an app, but every app is not a widget.

I hope I somewhat explained it and not confused you more.

It's an old idea, but still a good one. Assuming they fix the Android app first. (recent foods!)

Dear Posters,

Thanks so much for bumping this topic and for providing these request for an Android widget, we really appreciate it! While I don't have any specific updates, we will definitely consider adding an Android widget for a future update.

Warm Regards,

A widget would make a ton of logical sense for the next evolution of the app.
