i'm sure you can - as long as you use different e-mail accounts? does your son know you're doing this for him? maybe he can set up his own email and you can do it together.

I think that it is a good idea if you track his meals if he is having a problem with his weight. I would just use his own screen name and do it. Then after a week or two of tracking it, if he needs some help with his intake of calories, you can show it to him. Kids sometimes understand it better if they see in on paper, and it being directly about him, could work. But you don't want to give him a complex about it also, so that can be tough. If he is in real trouble, maybe show a doctor the results and ask the doc what to do?

Would he be willing to track it himself? If he thought it would be a fun exercise, have him help. If not, track it on your own. Create a separate email.... a freebie at yahoo. I think "WonderfulCaringMom@yahoo" would do the trick.

Hi,
He's about 15-20 pounds overweight and I don't want to make a big deal about it but he comes from me and I'm MUCH more than 15lbs overweight so I worry about him. I think it is a good idea to get him involved in tracking, he might really get into the whole computer aspect of it (he loves being on the computer!!) Thanks so much for your comments, I think getting a free yahoo name (I loved the one Lauryn wrote!!) would work out. It's just that I just started doing this for me and can not believe how many calories I've been eating and I think I've been feeding him too much too. Thanks all, Natalie/NJ

how awesome it is for your son to have a great mom like you!
No matter how you go about doing it, i want to commend you for taking control over your own health, and taking responsibility for the health of your son. He will thank you for it in the future!!!! To many folks focus only on their own well being and sometimes forget that they are directly responsible for the health of their children, who desperately need them, weather the parent knows it or not! you can do anything you put your mind to, and you have certainly come to the right place for support! So keep us updated, K? Shalom!
