I am wondering if I am missing something. Can you look up calories easily from this site before you want to ad them to your meal. I mean if I wanted to see how many calories are say in an egg before I eat it, can I just look it up and then decide if I want that? I have done the ad it to my meal and the delete it if I don't want it, but I thought maybe I was missing something and it is here someplace.

When you are adding a new food. For example an egg. You would type egg in the search function and hit the search button. It will come back with many choices. You click on the one you think is correct. A box will come up on the side showing the item. Correct the serving size if necessary and then click where it says nutrional information near the title. A pop up box will tell you all the nutritional data. You can decide if it is what you are looking for or decide not to eat it depending on the situatuion.

I hadn't seen that database button. That works really well.
