this is driving me mad

uk stone = 14lbs

if i put in 12st it = 168

11st 13lbs = 155.82 lbs according to weight converters which isnt correct if
11st 7lbs is 163

and 12st to 11st.13lbs is a drop of 1lb remebering there is 14lbs in a stone .... urgghhh

so if i input it as 11.07 lbs =154.98
and is this where uk members havin probs with weight loss suddenly stopping then dropping dramatically?

doing it on a normal calculater such as on my cellphone isnt much help either

the only way i can think to do it for 11st13 lbs is
is 11stone = 154lbs
+ 13 lbs
= 167 lbs

is this correct ? if so can we make uk members aware of this
so they know its best do it this way each time

I'm really confused about what the 'st' is???

Our weight here is in Kg....I just times the kg by 2,2 lbs and enter that way. Can't you just times stone x 14 lbs and enter everything in lbs?

Sorry, probably wasn't much help to you.

167 lbs would be 11.92 stone

(167 / 14 = 11.92)

12 stone would be 168 lbs.

Is this what you are trying to do????

There is 14lbs in a stone so...
11 stone 7 lbs = 11.5 st (NOT 11.07) so therefore 11.5 * 14 = 161 lbs which is correct

11 stone 13lbs = 11.93 st (NOT 11.13) so therefore 11.93 * 14 = 167.02 lbs which is correct when rounded

So 1 lb is actually .07 st and .07 * 14 = 1lb

It's just math but if in doubt multiply the stone amount by 14 and add on the lbs to get the total lbs

Hope this helps smile

I have always taken the 'Whole Stone' and converted to lbs then add any remaining lbs............because it's easier.

Example

11st 13lbs = 11st x 14lbs = (154lbs + 13lbs) = 167lbs
