I was wondering if anyone would be familiar with this weird pain I am having. It happens only when I stretch my foot/heel, I get this very piercing sharp, stinging pain shoot through the very back of my foot as if I just tore my skin opent. I look almost every time but nothing, no redness, dry skin nothing. Just a stinging, sharp pain.

Has anyone else had this?

Thanks,

Does it start from the very bottom of your calf right before your heel. If so it could be tight tendons and ligaments. Most important is your Achilles tendon is there. I tore mine. It's not a pleasant feeling. Worst pain I ever had in my life. Try stretching that leg slower and even massage your calf to your heel. If you have tension in your calf it will put tension on that tendon. It can take a while before you notice results so be careful with the amount of strain you exert on it. If hurts that bad it is always a good idea for a doctor to look at it before you injure it worse. It could be something completely different also. Be safe and good luck...

Thank you for the information. It is not in my calf at all but when I stretch my calf that little area on the very back of my foot feels like it is tearing. Is that what you were referring to?
