Let us support each other in this weight loss journey...My fiancee will be back in May (he is now away in another country) and I want to by then to be able to lose this weight.

I really need support and motivation I have been a lot of yo yo diets and I think 20 pounds in 3 months is a good goal.

Who is in with me?

We will start on February 1st with our weigh in (starting weight, current weight and Goal weight at the end of April) and then every week we will update these information.

I also suggest if you want we can post pictures of our main meals that we thought tasted good and others may take the recipes because usually in diets food at the end will start tasting the same and repeating and for that usually many people quit.

Sorry if this was long smile

I have been yo-yo diets and actually logging in recently and its my time to get back to it. My hubby's bday is in May and we plan to go to Las Vegas so it would be perfect for me to lose a little weight and tone up by then.

So in other words I am definately in!

February 1
Beginning weight (seven years ago): 197
Current weight: 155.2
Goal weight: 135ish

It's not so much a set number, but I would like to be "around 135" not between 155-160 like I've been for the last couple of months. When I initially lost the weight, I lost right at 70 you can see, I've gained back about 30, and I'd really like to lose the majority of what I have gained back. I was probably too thin for my age (now 53) and bone structure at one point. I'd be really happy to be around 135. My cholesterol and blood sugar numbers were better then too!
Down 2.2 pounds in January, so that makes me pretty happy! :-)

My brother is getting married on May 16th, and it is a traditional Indian wedding, so I will be wearing a sari, which shows my *GASP* stomach!!! Let's do this!!!!

Me, me, me!!
Would take me to final goal the day before my wedding anniversary! smooched

After week 1, I've maintained. Have not gained any, but also haven't lost. It's been COLD, snowy, and really easy to just curl up in front of the fireplace this week.

Hi! I'm a bit late, but this is exactly aligned with my goals (lose 20 lbs by May), so I would like to join you all. I want to lose this weight for good, and I want it to be done by the beginning of less-clothing season. I'm tired of fluctuating and have 3 wardrobes for each of my sizes (I haven't even been pregnant yet :|)
CW: 145
GW: 125
I've done it many times before (in less time as well), but I have huge problems maintaining, so I hope that doing it the healthy way + support will help with that! I'm here for anyone with similar goals, I know we can do it :)
I plan on exercising a minimum of 3 days a week to burn a minimum of 300 calories (running at the gym, long walks or skating while its still winter here), and eating 3 (mostly healthy) meals a day with only fruit and vegetables as snacks. I'm trying not to be too strict on the actual meals being controlled, because huge restrictions of food types or calories is usually what gets me bored/frustrated, and to eventually lose control. I have a very all-or-nothing mentality, so I've accepted that that's my biggest challenge, and I want to finally address it.

Good luck to you all, I will post next week (even if nothing has happened ;)) - I hope to hear about your progress as well!
