Hi,
I have a 100 day fast coming up and I still have 6 more kg to lose in 6 weeks.
My fast is till 6pm everyday. Can anyone give me an exercise schedule and at what time I should exercise so I can still fast, lose fat and l build muscle without slowing down my metabolism.

noway noway noway What? Why are you fasting for 100 days? Is this for religion or because you are protesting something? Then in that case, forget about exercise. Do your essential activity and stay in bed, not moving, as much as you can (that's why people meditate when they fast). You only have 6 kg to lose!!!! frown

If I'm reading your post correctly, you're only fasting for a few hours a day (until 6 pm). Is that accurate? In that case, I wouldn't be too worried about it. Intermittent Fasting won't slow down your metabolism as long as you're eating an adequate amount of calories during your feeding window.

In that case, I guess exercise after you eat? I don't know much about fasting.

So you don't eat until 6pm? And for how long afterwards are you able to eat? How many calories will you be consuming? Is this purely for weight loss purposes or for religious ones?

You don't need advice.

You need some fairy dust.

^^^ this

and find out what Muslims do during Ramadan, because the situation sounds kind of similar (although it's only 30 days not 100 days). I think waiting until a couple of hours after your fast breaking meal, then training, then having a post-workout meal. Then ensuring that you're eating all your TDEE calories during the time when you're allowed to eat.

This is a good plan. Please meet your TDEE.

Yes. I won't eat from when I wake up till 6pm. Then will eat after 6pm. Just not sure whether it's advisable to exercise once I wake up in the morning or I should exercise after breaking my fast in the evening

A 6 hour 'eating window' isn't too extreme - as above, see the leangains website, as well as http://rippedbody.jp

Completely personal preference. You may find that your performance suffers doing fasted workouts but lots of people dont have a problem with it. Probably going to depend on what your workout is and what your nutrition is the day before. In the long run there will not be any significant difference between either so pick the one you prefer.
