Hi,

I have set my account so that when ever I complete my diary or do exercise etc that it will post to my Facebook Account. It worked for the first 2 days but know it isn't updated or posting any updates, could you please explain who I can fix this issue.

Regards

Tim

I have the same question. I have been using MFP for 5 days now and allowed it to post to my facebook, but it never has.

They had found that some of this was due to a recent change in Privacy settings - you might need to go to Settings->Diary Settings and make your diary sharing Public.

That being said, this hasn't yet worked for me - I set the Public diary setting last night but this morning's weight loss didn't post to my Facebook. If I get an answer or figure out what the solution was I'll post here.

Some people seem to have had luck in the past with un-linking and then re-linking their Facebook accounts to MFP.

Maybe it's just some sort of combination of the above two things....

I had changed my Diary to Public -after- already trying the un-linking and re-linking. It may need to be the other way around (set the Diary to Public, then un-link / re-link to Facebook). Waiting for another weight check-in before I know if this worked for sure.

There is another forum post about the issue here http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1094795-updates-not-posting-to-facebook

QUOTE from that post below:

Hi Folks,

It looks like there may be a little confusion in regards to my post above. The reason you will no longer see your content on Facebook is because you have chosen to keep this information private. Our goal here is to respect your user privacy settings, if you wish to change this you can do so via the settings.

So if your diary is private and you are linked to Facebook your status updates and blog posts from MyFitnessPal will post to Facebook. What will not post is your completed diary or completed exercise. Previously, when those did post they would link your friends back your diary, and if you are set to private they would only get a page that said "Usernames diary is set to private". This defeated the purpose of the Facebook postings.

Based off our research and feedback from users we hope to develop some more engaging content to share with Facebook, but our current content was not showing any engagement between your friends, you and MyFitnessPal. We hope to have more options for you in the future.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns, I would be happy to address them.

Cheers,
Scott

My issue is that I don't want to share my diary with my facebook people but some of them find the information of how often I work out, how much I have lost, etc. to be very motivating and now they can't see any of it at all. They wouldn't have any interest in clicking on the link to come to MFP to see what I'm eating. Please bring back the old facebook posting settings!

After I set the public sharing settings, I had actually ran into some other bug preventing my weight loss from posting. As of this morning it looks to be working again. :)
