If I use a food that is for example,. under lunch and I use it all the time, it's easy to find if I want to add it to lunch over and over again. Is there a way that I can access that same item but put it in another meal such as dinner without having to search for it again in the database?

I'll second that request!

You can indeed access the same item from your "lunch logging" in dinner or any other slot

It's a user settable option on every platform MFP is available on.

For the apps
Windows Phone

Website - food > food diary> pick a meal and click add food> on the "add food to (selected meal) page there is a search box and RIGHT below that search box it says "Or add favorites for (selected meal)" - DEFAULT behaviour
click that "selected meal" and pick the only other option which is ALL MEALS.
Now the items you've logged for meal 1 are available for meal 3. Can be easily changed every time you access the food diary depending how many items you want available to pick from

But you can't copy dinner (a whole meal) to lunch the next day. You can copy lunch to lunch (from the day before or a certain date), but you can't copy from breakfast or dinner (or whatever other meals you have listed). Entering each individual item from the "All Meals" list is tedious. There are many times that I have a leftover meal from dinner the night before -- for lunch the next day, but can't easily copy the entire meal.

You can add it to lunch and then click on it, in your lunch menu, and move it to dinner.

why would it be tedious to add "each" item from the all meals list?

It adds "all checked items" so if you have to go to all 4 pages to access them because it's sorted by name you could sort by default (last used item should be first) and then dinner items from last night would be grouped together on the list, put a check in the box beside each item you did have and hit add checked.

and on the web at least copy from dinner to dinner then edit todays... depends on how many meal items you logged it might be quick for 3 but if you've 10 hitting each one to bring up the edit window to move it to lunch would be a nuisance.

Yes, I know that you can go through the list and "add all checked" items. But searching through the list for all those items is a pain. If I made chili for dinner the night before, and it takes 15 items to put together that meal, I don't want to search through the list for those same 15 items so I can add it to lunch today. Wouldn't it be easier to have a "copy from yesterday breakfast/lunch/dinner" tab? Most of the time there are only a few items to be copied, but there are often times when a large list of items need to be copied. It would just be nice to have an easier way to move them to a meal of our choice.
