I had joined myfitnesspal for one reason I want to get skinny and get in good shape. Glad I did this, and was little disappointed because I am looking for the kind of recipe collections like Sparkpeople. Still searching for them on this site, and could not find them. I was wondering if you know how to locate? Any advice would be very appreciated. Thank you, Paleo Hawk

No idea what the other sites "recipe collections' are like but the MFP database has a lot of "food items" entered from various recipe sites

allrecipes.com
joy of cooking cookbook
better homes and gardens...

you'll need to use the MFP database and the source of the recipe in conjunction, ie look through your cookbook or favorite recipe site, pick a recipe and search the MFP database for it, it COULD already be in here with the nutritional info so you can log a serving of it, but you'll need the recipe itself from the cookbook / website.

Thank you, Pandorian. I will try another way like you said about other recipe sites. Some recipes I have to copy and type in new recipe. I have created a few recipes to see how many calories, protein, etc., I am going to have for a meal. I think it is doing and it is really nice to know about how much I am eating. With all MFP, I appreciated how it worked out with my activities and my food journal. Thank you.

Just a suggestion almost everything I've ever needed has been in the data base here however if you cannot find something here is a great source for many, many items:
