I'm having a problem charging my flex. Is anyone else having this problem, or found a solution?

i ended up with a replacement because the battery wouldn't hold a full charge more than a day or two. be sure to charge it fully (5 full lights) and then keep track of how long it lasts so you can report it.

eta: i bought it in the beginning of may and this happened in july. still have no idea why it worked and then suddenly didn't.

steps from fitbit:

To ensure the longest possible battery life, please do the following:

- Charge your Flex until all 5 LED indicator lights illuminate. This can take up to 3 hours.
- Consider checking your goal progress using your Fitbit.com Dashboard or mobile device; checking your goal progress by tapping your Flex will use up battery life.
- If you use alarms with your Flex, reduce the number of alarms set to increase your Flex's battery life.

We also recommend to restart your Flex. To restart your tracker, please do the following:

1. Plug your charging cable into the USB port and insert your tracker into the charging cable.
2. Insert a paperclip into the small pinhole on the back of the charger.
3. Press the pinhole for 3-4 seconds.
4. If you see lights on your Flex, let it charge for a few hours.

Only problem I've had is standing not having it on for 3 whole hours! But I did get a HUGE kick out of the e-mail it sent me about the battery being low the first time I got it. laugh

I just got my Flex last week and I am having trouble with it charging. I am using the same port as I used for my Fitbit One, so I don't think it should be a port issue. I also tried to reset it as suggested on the site. It's tracking my steps, but for some reason it will not charge past the one light and keeps telling me my battery is low, even after leaving it on the charger all night long. It mentions on the site that if it's charging the light will blink every few seconds. When I plug mine in the charger, it lights up initially, shows me the one light and then goes off and never blinks at me again unless I tap at it. Faulty charger? What does your Flex do when it's in the charger? When I manually press it up into the charger, it does keep blinking at me. Is that what it's always supposed to do? Thanks for any input!

I had this problem with my flex as well. If I put continuous pressure on the flex in the charger, it would charge, so I wrapped a rubber band around it and that worked for a while. I contacted fitbit a couple weeks ago and after collecting some info from me, including a receipt of purchase, they sent me out a new charger immediately.

FYI The lights should blink while it is charging, the more lights, the closer it is to being fully charged.

One of my friends had the same problem. She found if she put a little piece of thin cardboard between the charger & the tracker it kept the tracker in the right position to charge. Fitbit did send her a replacement charger.

This happened to me when my computer had it's security settings to turn off after x-amount of time. I would just contact fitbit, they have excellent customer service and mine does light up random while charging.

Thanks everyone! I wadded up a piece of paper to wedge in there and sure enough, it fixed the problem. Guess I will contact Fitbit about getting a new one sent!
