Please work on the reports section. Under Nutrition, you have to choose one category - Carbs, Protein, Fiber,etc., and the report just shows you historical qty consumed. This is not helpful. Would like to see an overall nutrition report that includes multiple categories (or use checkboxes to choose what you'd like to include in the report) and show some comparison to recommended balance. At least highlight where diet is over or under in a category, as we see in the diary with red text.

Seems like there is a tremendous amount of data being collected but it's not being synthesized into useful information.

I totally agree. I would also like to be able to print off the report after it comes up to take when I meet with my nutritionist.

I agree, I posted this to the suggestion;
While reviewing my individual summary reports I thought how nice it would be to be able to download the reports in an Excel format. From there you could complete your own workbook with appropriate tab sections and complete you own summaries'. On the first tab a category summary with roll up would allow the member to add in, (calculate) averages and summaries', for a yearly review spread sheet with triggers showing where you met,(say green) and where you still need to improve, (red). An additional overall category would tell where you actually stood for the year. This tool would also would allow the member to determine realistic goals for the next year based on previous years performance.
Workbooks such as this are used in healthcare to track statistics, review performance, review goals, and determine future goals at a glance. The current system utilized on the site causes the reviewer to move between many reports, with not true data analysis. Its more like "eye candy" and not so much a avenue to true data interpretation. The emphasis should be not only on data entry, and some individual basic summaries, but should include an avenue for the participant to plan and adjust goals according to the data. and what the participant could really do with the data presented.

An Excel download would at a minimum allow folks with that level of interest to engage at a whole other level. I would venture to guess that it would also become a strong tool for a wellness program and a group of students to gauge how they were doing individually and as a group.

This would just be plan cool.

I switched over from an app called Lose It because the data base here is larger and because of the fantastic bar code scanner feature which I absolutely love. After transferring two weeks worth of all my foods over to this app, I was so very disappointed int he report section. The report section in Lose It is superior. Please technicians, please research what you are missing out on. It would be a shame for people to switch because the report section is so poor. "Lose It" has a phenomenal reports section not only onscreen, but downloadable to a spreadsheet which can be printed and shared with health care providers. I cannot stress to you how important this feature is and how much I miss quality reports. I want to see real numbers in the reports, not graphs where you have to guess what your numbers actually are. Please look into this (maybe you two can join forces and become one giving us superior data base and reports. Just my thoughts and opinion :-)

I agree on the issue of the reports needing a better overall view. It would be nice to see all my nutrition intake in one glance.

Agreed! I want to see a report where I can quickly view if I am meeting my micronutrient intake. I moved from Fitday to MFP for many reasons, but I miss the easily accessible micronutrient reports.
Being vegan I want to ensure I am getting enough Iron, Calcuim, B vitamins, etc. And right now I can't check that with this program. I would also like to be able to download my average intakes, to bring to my Drs.
Please PLEASE PLEASE enhance this feature.

I agree as well. My suggestion that I posted was to have the ability to export all reports data to excel then we can make any kind of report we want!

I don't really care which method they use just make the report review better!

I would like to have an option on Weight loss reporting that allows me to select the graph period. As it is I have nothing to choose from between the last 30 days and the last 90 days. 90 days makes the graph too small to be encouraging and 30 days cuts off the initial losses! Please give us an option to report data for a selected period... or at the very lease in 30 day increments... 30, 60, 90 etc. Love the bar code reader! Thanks for all you provide. Love the app!

By the way, it would be sooooo nice to have a printer friendly button to create PDF printouts for the graphs. I love putting them on my Frig!

I agree!!! The reports section is pretty much useless, and it becomes very cumbersome to go through each macro, or each measurement. and I really hate graphs. I would much rather have a list option or something too. graph period is a great idea. sometimes i like to look back and see how far i have come, but it makes it rather difficult with the reports being how they are all smooshed.

Have we ever heard a response back from MyFitnessPal? Do they intend to ever update the reports or have they at least acknowledged the suggestion>?
