TOPIC: New idea for pizza crust!

I was experimenting today!
Here's what I used:

2 tbsp of dry pinto beans
1 tbsp dry brown lentils
1 tbsp texturized soy protein
1 tbsp unflavored rice protein powder
2 tbsp wheat bran
1 egg white
a few dashes of baking powder
variety of spices (oregano, basil, garlic powder, onion powder, crushed red pepper)

I ground the beans and TSP in my coffee grinder to get a powder then mixed everything together. It made 1 personal size pizza, about 8 inches in diameter. i cooked it at 400 for about 12 minutes, then added my toppings.

for the sauce I used:
2 tbsp tomato paste
water
more spices

I mixed in enough water so it was sauce like.

then I added Daiya cheddar shreds and mushrooms!

bake for another 8 minutes.

Obviously this can be easily adapted, you could use more or less of one bean, omit the TSP/ protein powder, and maybe try almond milk instead of the water to increase calcium!. and im not sure if the egg white was necessary (I was too nervous just leaving it out), but if you think you need something, a flax egg could make this easily vegan!

Could be used as a flatbread, crackers, etc. The whole thing with my toppings came out to be around 260 calories, with 24g protein, 10% calcium, and 31% iron!

Any idea if those two types of beans contain sufficient amounts of lectin phytohaemagglutinin to be toxic? I know red kidney beans are the worst when consumed ucooked/undercook but I don't know about pinto and brown lentils. I've looked online but every site says the same thing; fully cook all beans to cook off the toxin.

i looked it up and it said symptoms will start within 1-3 hours so in 2 hours I will report back! I sure hope not!!

its really no different than using a regular flour. it''s just homemade flour -- similar to like garbanzo bean flour. or soy flour, but different beans.
