About Me
I am a mom to three boys (full time) and have three bonus kids that stay with my boyfriend and I most weekends. We are a very busy blended family and all six kids are under 11 years old.
A year after I had my last son my ex husband and I seperated. I was about 25 pounds over weight and feeling pretty overwhelmed. I had always been an active and healthy person and I knew that I just needed to get moving to start losing all that accumulated baby weight that I had put on over the previous 6 years. So I joined a gym and in about six months lost 20 pounds. That was three years ago and I have kept it off.
I joined MFP because I have set new goals for myself and felt I needed a little more encouragement and help. I ran my first half marathon this past spring and have found a new love for running. I don't just want to achieve a number on the scale, I want to be in excellent shape.
Why I Want To Get In Shape
It makes me confident and happy. I feel proud of myself that I am a good example in what I eat and how I exercise to my children.
My Inspirations
- Divorce was a great motivator and exercise was a great stress reliever.
