I joined MFP in December of 2012 and I lost 25 pounds. Then I quit smoking. I stopped watching what I ate to reduce stress when quitting. Five months after I quit smoking I have gained back almost all the weight I lost. Since I quit I have done three 5Ks a 10K and a triathlon. It is time to get back on the wagon and bring my weight back down.
Why I want to get in shape
I want to look and feel better. I want to be able to run circles around the twenty somethings on the playing field, regardless of the sport. I don't think that's too much to ask. They are playing video games and I'm outside playing.
