I lost 70 lbs back in 1988 and for the most part have kept that off. I am maintaining and building muscle and strength. I finished Round 1 of ChaLEAN Extreme and am in the middle of my first round of P90X and LOVING IT! I've found that once I kicked my cardio addiction and added weightlifting (heavy lifting) that I've seen much better results. My ultimate goal is to build muscle to keep my metabolism up thru my 40s, having just turned 40 in August. I love to motivate and help people who are traveling the same path I have traveled and losing weight doesn't require "diets", it requires lifelong changes that are realistic and sustainable. I am hoping in the next 2 yrs to go back to school to become a Certified Personal Trainer and hopefully after that go to school for nutrition.

Good luck to everybody with your own fitness goals. If you're struggling, I promise you there is a way OUT of the cycle and you never have to feel "this" way again...I fully remember feeling helpless and full of despair with my weight problem and one day at a time I manage it very well these days. If I can do it, ANYBODY can!! :)
