"The trouble with eating Italian food is that five or six days later, you’re hungry again.."

About Me

I was the alternative goth chick in highschool and never had a weight problem. I was never super skinny, and being italian I did have some meat on my bones. The biggest I remember being back then was maybe a small 10. But then highschool ended and things just got whacky. I worked at a bakery at the time, and because I didn't continue on to college (because I wasn't sure what I was doing with my life) I started working there about four times a week or more depending on what they needed me for. And as anyone who's worked in a bakery knows, you're surrounded with the most delicious/unhealthy foods all day long. And as a perk to working there, I got to take home the days leftovers for free. So as you can imagine, there were many a night when I came home with bags of delicious italian bread and various pizzas that I'd make a feast out of almost every night. I never even gave a thought to weight gain, because again, I was never the fat girl and never paid attention to what i ate. A few years later, I would say two years later I moved away from home and got married. My husband and I all heard the old saying that getting married makes you fat. Well, by that point, I had already gained about 30 pounds or so, so I was sitting at about 160 pounds. Over the period of five years (as we've been married for almost five) I've managed to put on another 48 pounds. We were married young and we lived and ate as young people do. We must of ordered chinese food or a large pizza almost every night for the first year we were married. Not that I couldn't cook, but we both worked the graveyard shift and we'd come home late at night famished. And because there was a pizza place at the corner by our appartment building, it was sinfully convenient. This has continued on for the better part of five years, with many failed attempts at gym memberships and diets. I decided to finally give this another go and get off the fat train once and for all. The heavist I've been I think is about 211 pounds. When I started this workout/diet about a month ago I was 208 pounds and I've managed to lose a bit of that and am now at 195.5.

Why I Want To Get In Shape

I'm tired of buying clothes for the very reason that it fits and not because I like it and looks good on me. I tired of having to buy bigger pants, bigger shirts, bigger bras every few months because I can't keep my ass in shape. I'm tired of feeling tired and being achy all the time.

My Inspirations

  • Tara Costa - Biggest Loser
  • A closet full of gorgeous clothes that don't fit.
