37 years old. Started working out in Sept 2011 after reaching an unhealthy weight of 210lbs. Down 25lbs before joining MFP. Happily married to an amazing women and have two lovely daughters. 3 and 7.
I follow the IIFYM (If It Fits Your Macros). Eat a balanced diet where nothing is off limits as long as it fits into my calorie, nutrient goals for the day and meets my minimum protein and fat intake. I set my macros based on body weight.
Minimum 1 gram protein per pound of lean body weight.
Minimum .35 grams fat per pound of lean body weight.
Remaining calories are made up of whatever combination of carbs, fats and protein if feel like eating that day.
I try to keep my "cheat" days to a minimum as it usually sets me back about three days until I start losing again.
Weightlifting and cardio. I try to keep my lifting 45-60 minutes and add 10-30 minutes of cardio on lifting days.
Currently doing Wendler 5/3/1 with upper/lower split for accessory work.
