About Me
I'm a 46-year-old mother of a wonderful 8-year-old girl. I've been a vegetarian for most of my life, but I've been in denial, telling myself I could eat more than I should, because I don't eat meat. I've tried to lose weight several times, but I just get discouraged. But now it's reached a crisis point.
Why I Want To Get In Shape
My daughter wants me to play with her more often, and I feel guilty when I'm too tired. It's hard enough being an "older" mother - the energy just isn't what it used to be. As she gets older, I know I'm going to have to work harder to be a part of her life, ready for opportunities like travel, fun family outings, etc. And when she's an adult, I want to be an active part of her life then too. But right now, she needs me, and I'm not there for her the way I want to be, and it's pretty much all health-related.
And of course, I wouldn't mind feeling drop dead gorgeous and sexy again like I did years ago!
