About Me
I'm a 42 yr old mom of 2, one is 14 with Cerebral Palsy and the other is almost 3. I have spent most of my life devoted to my husband and kids and since the second baby was born I lost my way. I lost 45 of the 55lbs I gained during pregnancy, but, my body's just not the same as it used to be. I use to bounce back pretty easily, but I guess age has finally taken its toll. So I quit smoking, for the last time, 2 months ago and gained another 10 lbs. I have a great support system and motivation, it's just been hard to get started. But, I'm over 1 month into my diet and exercise routine so I know I can keep it up, now I just need to cut those cal/fat/carbs, out. I haven't lost any weight yet, but, I know with a bit more discipline I will hopefully reach my goal by July.
Why I Want To Get In Shape
I really felt so much better about myself when I was in shape and healthy. I really need to get my life back on track. I miss the girl I used to be and I know that time for myself and a better body image will help this. I am also out to prove to myself that being a new mom over 40 doesn't mean that my life is over, I want to be an active part of my children's life for many years to come, and I need to keep healthy to keep up with my husband who is 9yrs younger than me.
