Was a very athletic person growing up, played all sports and was active all the time. Started to get bigger once I started on Desk jobs and drinking alcohol after work became a habit. We (My Wife) and I have been giving this a go for a couple of years but nothing serious enough to make a difference. At my heaviest about 10 motnhs ago I was at 319 lbs, the biggest thing noticable was my belly. I cannot tell you how many times the question of how long have you been pregnant was ask. Took it as a badge of honor but inside felt really bad. Had a Heart Attack at 42 years old and even it did not wake me up, kept drinking, smoking and over eating.
Why I want to get in shape
I want to live past 70 or 80 years of age, I want to be able to play golf or some other sports without having to take the rest of the day and most of the next to heal up from it. Also quit drinking a little over 9 months ago and quit smoking 6 weeks ago, it has been over 32 years since I have not done either and feeling good from not doing these 2 bad habits got me moving to the fitness side. I feel really good and read a lot for inspiration so email if you want.
- Watch my kids get married
- Be able to celebrate 50 years with wife
- Able to play with grandkids if they have some
- Not have to depend on someone to take care of me when older
