About Me
I'm an American living in England with my husband. We've lived here for over two years, and I really love living in the UK and being so close to Continental Europe. When we moved, I decided to finally leave my career of over 7 years and am back at university - changing careers. So, lots of changes in my life in recent years.
Why I Want To Get In Shape
I've always battled with my weight and self image. I had an eating disorder as a teen and have seldom felt happy with my body, even though I usually was within 10 lbs of my ideal weight.
However, when I turned 30, I got married and also developed Plantar Fasciitis. I could no longer run and could barely walk. Living with a man, I started to eat more. Long story short - I gained 65 lbs within 2 years. Nearly 2 years after that, I've lost 25 lbs, but I really want to get back to being in shape and get back to my normal weight.
I also struggle with depression and have all of my life. I find that the more I exercise, the better I am able to manage my depression. So, this really is an important lifestyle change for me. This really is about overall well being for me.
