Sorry all, I am no longer accepting new friends unless we have some things in common. It's nothing personal, I just can't keep up and give the support I would like to.
When my athletic career ended due to a lot of joint problems I turned to the internet in my free time and gained a lot of weight. I lost about 40lbs on South Beach 6 years ago and kept it off for 3 years then it slowly crept back on as I went back to old habits. Now I am ready to change my lifestyle following the South Beach guidelines.
Why I want to get in shape
I'll never be in great shape again because my exercise is so limited, but I can certainly improve my health. I would love to be able to avoid more joint replacements, have had one hip replacement.
- Avoid the health problems that my parents had.
- Want to be around to watch our granchildren grow up.
- Don't want to die fat.
