I went from a chubby toddler to a 90-lb third-grader in the wink of an eye. Through junior and senior high, 160 lbs. snowballed up to 220 when I graduated at 17 in 1978. Moving out at age 19 changed a lot, went on Atkins and lost 90 lbs in 18 months. Met a boy who said, I will love you no matter what you look like. Six months later, I was 50 lbs heavier. Moved back home right before Dad died in '86. Ten years later I topped out at 290 at age 35. Got serious, did Weight Watchers, lost 40 lbs but dropped out when I lost my job. Got back to WW again 4 years ago, 40 lbs down again. Left WW for good (too expensive) . On August 13 I'd gained all the way back up to 269 lbs. I joined MFP on August 20, 2012. This is gonna stop, NOW.
Why I want to get in shape
I don't want to end up dead of a heart attack at 55 like my Dad.
I don't want to be diagnosed with diabetes and high cholesterol like my Mom.
I don't want to look and feel like this for the rest of my life.
