I forgot my password, is there any way I can retrieve it?
If you know your username or the email address you signed up with, you can just select the "Forgot your password?" button on the login screen and your username and password will be emailed to you. You can also retrieve your password anytime through our website by using our forgot password form.
How do I change my password, username or email address?
There are a number of settings that you can only change by accessing your account from our website at http://www.myfitnesspal.com. You can change your password, username and email address on the website as well as several other settings including changing your meal names, tracking additional measurements and even changing your time zone. How do I delete my account?
If you'd like to delete your account, just login to our website at www.myfitnesspal.com, then go to "My Home", "Settings", and finally "Delete account". Please be aware, however, that if you delete your account, all of your entries and data will be removed permanently. You will not be able to recover them once your account has been deleted.
How do I unsubscribe from MyFitnessPal email notifications and newsletters?
Login to your account on our website at www.myfitnesspal.com. Go to "My Home", then click on "Settings", then "Change email address/email preferences". On that page, you can subscribe or unsubscribe to all of our different mailings.
Can I switch between English and Metric measurements?
You can switch between English and Metric measurements anytime by navigating to the “More” section using the bottom menu and choosing “Edit Profile”. One of the options under “Edit Profile” is labeled “Units”. If you select this option, you can choose which measurement type you would like to use.
Can I use two accounts on the same device?
You can create two accounts on the same mobile device and switch back and forth between them. After you have created the first account, navigate to the "More" section, then select the "Logout" button at the bottom. You can then create a second account. Use the "Logout" button to switch back and forth between the two accounts.
I have forgotten my username.
If you've forgotten your username, you can have it emailed to you by visiting the following link:
Just enter the email address you used to create your account into that form, and an email will be sent to you which contains your username as well as a link to reset your password if you so desire.
Can I use the same email with two user accounts?
Unfortunately, you can not create two accounts with the same email address. For security reasons (we send password resets, etc., via email) the system will not allow more than one account per email address.
You will need a separate email account to create a different account. There are now many free email providers, such as gmail, hotmail, and aol, that will allow you to create a new email address and have your emails forwarded to your existing account.
My login days-in-a-row counter is incorrect. How do I fix this?
If your "days in a row" counter is incorrect, you can request a correction by completing the form at the following link:

Just fill out that form, and someone will look into it as soon as possible.
How do I change the gender associated with my account?
To change the gender of your profile, log in online at www.myfitnesspal.com. Sign into the members log in area with your normal username and password.
Once logged in, go to "My Home", then "Settings", then "Update diet/fitness profile".
Under the setting for height is the setting for gender. When you are done make sure you scroll down and hit the green "update profile" tab.
If I set a passcode on the app, what happens if I forget my PIN?
Our Passcode Lock feature allows you to protect your diary data with a simple 4-digit PIN. If you enter the wrong PIN five times on the unlock screen, the app will simply log you out. You may regain access by logging in with your username and password.
Why does the app want me to correct my email address?
Some communication from MyFitnessPal will arrive via email. For instance, if you request a link to reset a forgotten password, that link is sent to your email address to ensure that only you receive the link.
You may also optionally receive email notifications based on certain activity on your account, for instance if you receive a friend request. You may opt out of these notifications by signing on to our full site at www.myfitnesspal.com and clicking My Home > Settings > Change email address/email preferences
As of version 3.4 of the MyFitnessPal iOS app, you can correct or update your email address right in the Settings of the app, found on the "More" page.
Can I change my time zone?
To change your time zone in the app, first navigate to the "More" page. Then, select "Edit Profile." The time zone setting is available in the profile options. An incorrect time zone setting may cause your news feed posts or diary dates to behave in unexpected ways. We recommend updating your time zone when you are traveling.
What happens when I delete my account?
Upon account deletion, there is occasionally a delay of a few days before data is removed from the site. This cannot be relied upon though, and account deletion requests should be considered permanent.
When account data is removed, all "private" content will be removed from the site completely:
Diary Entries (Food and Exercise)
Account Profile Information (your statistics, and the content describing you on your Profile page)
Other content, specifically forum posts and personal foods shared with the full database, are considered to be "public", and are not removed as part of account deactivation.
I created my account using my Facebook login, but now I want to unlink my account. How will I log in?
If you choose to unlink your MyFitnessPal and Facebook accounts after creating your MyFitnessPal account based on your Facebook credentials, you will be prompted to create a password for your MyFitnessPal account. Once you have done so, you may log in to MyFitnessPal using your email address and MyFitnessPal password.
