I am a 42 year old mother of 4, ages 9,10,17, and 19. I have been married to my 2nd husband for 13 years. I am the assistant director at a 911 center also, so I have a very busy life.
I started my weight loss project in March of 2012 at 338 pounds. Here is my progress so far:
March 2nd, 2012 338 pounds
May 15th, 2012 295 pounds
June 21st,2012 280 pounds
August 27th, 2012 256 pounds
September 22nd, 2012 247 pounds
October 27th, 2012 236 pounds
November 27th,2012 230 pounds
December 26th, 2012 223 pounds
May 08, 2013 220 pounds
June 26th, 2013 217 pounds
I have done this all by eating a whole foods, plant based diet and a LOT of walking. I have a ways to go still to get to my goal of around 155, but I WILL get there!!
Why I want to get in shape
Because I want to live a long healthy life. I don't want to depend on medications to try to control health issues that I could have prevented in the first place. I want to be around for my kids, and get to see them grow up. I also want to be healthy enough when all the kids live home to still be able to do fun things with my hubby! I love life, and I am not done living it yet
- Giving my kids a healthy example of how life should be lived
- Look better
- Have more energy
