Drink that 'waader'
Last week I only shared this story with a few friends, but after what just happened, I decided to add the story to my blog----.
.... Ya'll know I was stressed out with worry all (last) week with my youngest in Germany. I get so anxious when she flies, especially to a 'whole other country'. That being said, I'm one of those who really pushes water and always have. I actually like it and have no problem getting 8 cups in a day. My kids grew up with it and now gkids and they know it's a big 'treat' when I allow them an occasional soda on the weekends.....
Now to the point of this rambling...When Kate called and said she had landed safely and then later called and said she arrived in the snow safely at home, I decided I'd relax and have a beer. Only I was ousted by a precocious, not yet 3 yr old and a bit of guilt.
As I reached in the fridge for the coldest beer in the land, she said "Nannnnaaaaa, whatcha gettin?" I just stared at her waiting.... "Nana! dat beer makes you fat!" (Little ones never miss a beat, do they?) So, I grabbed a water bottle instead and she said, "Waader good for you, Nana" and hugs my leg. Crap. What have I done? lol -Just wait til the little stink goes to bed tonight!.....
I admit I am struggling with my addiction to can cokes. Although I don't allow the kiddies to have them except maybe one on the weekends, I do drink 1-2 a day, just for a little energy. Or so I tell myself it gives me energy, lol. My oldest daughter (mother of the 3 yr old) and I were discussing the other day how I should really give them up....So TODAY when I reached for my coke 'fix'...little 3 yr old smartie pants ,says... ."NAAANNNAAA, dats too much shooger!(sugar) Drink that waader Nana!" And hands me my water bottle. Wow and crap again. I think it's nap time!
Everyone have a great day!
