Update For Android App Available: Multi-Add, Notes, Quick Add Calories and More

I'm happy to announce that an update for our Android App is now available.  New features include:

  • Multi-Add: Add several foods to your diary at once
  • Notes syncing - enter food and exercise notes on the app and sync them with our website
  • Quick add calories - lets you quickly add just calories if you know how many you ate
  • Bug fixes and stability improvements - we've made a lot of fixes to the app that should reduce crashes and force closes

To update the app, just search for "MyFitnessPal" in Android market.

We are already hard at work on our next update for Android which we hope to have available shortly.  For now, if you have any questions or encounter any bugs in the app, just let us know and we'll look into it ASAP.

For you Blackberry users out there, we are hard at work on our first version of a Blackberry app.  We don't have any beta news to announce yet, but we are making great progress and will keep you all posted.

Thanks, and hope you are all enjoying the site (and apps)!

Argh!!! You are such a tease! ANY idea when the blackberry app will be out? I am being forced to switch phone providers and trying to decide if I should just get iPhone and give up on Blackberry app.

Pllllease make an ad-free version available, for a nominal subscription cost. It's a nice app, and does exactly what it says on the tin.

Thanks for continuing to make improvements. I bought my Droid X as soon as you announced that you launched a Droid app. It was the first app I installed! I love it! THANKS!!!

Love the app-it's what sold me on this site and the update is great. HOWEVER, now it logs me out every time I leave the app and I have to log back in. Any way to fix that?

Bloody marvelous app. I'm in and out of it at least 10 times a day and rarely have any issues with it. I noted the quick calorie add function yesterday and used it with great success! Keep up the great work!

Love it. Thank you! <3 Any idea when you'll be implementing the "Completed food diary for the day" button on the android app? Thanks again! This app is SO helpful, especially when eating out!

Is the option to closeout your food diary via the app in the works? That's one feature that would be handy to not have to use your computer for.

Hi Guys!

I just wanted to say thank you times 1,000,000! I love this site so much. You are helping countless folks get healthier, lose weight, and lead happier lives! Love the new ap! If it just had a complete this day button it would be perfect! Have a great day and thank you again! 21 pounds down with MFP! Paula

I love this app, I use it every day several times a day to help keep up with my protein and carbs. since the upgrade on my droid, I have had to log in every time I want to use the app. I didn't have to do that before the upgrade. It's really aggravating!!!!! I love the multi add feature, makes it a lot faster to log items.

AWESOME App - extremely effective! Ideal tool for helping me become more accountable and motivated. Thanks SO much for making this available at no cost.

I would gladly pay a small cost to remove the ad's. On a device with a small screen it makes life difficult because the ad covers 1/4 of the screen so I can only see one food item at a time. I have a Motorola charm and I do love the app, just really frustrating to have to keep rotating to portrait to be able to read the list.

Love the app, but after the update, I keep getting logged out! Very frustrating!

I love your app. It works for me when I'm on the Go.

Thanks !

Love the app! It's what sold me on MFP. Any idea when/if you're going to include a barcode scanning feature? That would really take it up a notch!

I have an Android Tablet; not a phone. I downloaded and installed the App from the Android Market. When I try to run the App, it states that I need an internet connection. That's wierd because I am always connected to the internet via WIFI when using the tablet. Does APP recognize WIFI connection or is it limited to phones or 3G?

Small fee in return for no ads! I have an Epic, and it's annoying that the ads are so close to all the buttons. I click them by accident a lot!.

Also, would love the "complete this entry" button on the app, like the iPhone has.

And barcode scanner, please!

Love this app!
