Share your diaries with others

Today we added a new feature to the site: the ability to share your food and exercise diaries with other people.

By default, your food and exercise diaries are private and only viewable by you. But if you wish, you can change the privacy settings on your diaries to one of the following options:

  • Private (viewable only by you)
  • Public (viewable by anyone)
  • Friends (viewable only by your MFP friends)
  • Locked (viewable only with a password set by you)

To change your diary settings, go to "My Home", then "Settings", then "Diary Settings."

If someone wishes to view your diary, they can view it at:

...where you replace USERNAME with your own username.

If you have any questions or see any problems with this new functionality, please let me know in the Technical Support or Feedback forums.

Thanks, and hope you're all enjoying the site!

Thank you for setting this up. I/we all really appreciate everything you do for this site. Being able to share food/exercise diaries will be a great tool. I don't know how hard/easy this but it would be great if we could pull up a persons diary from their homepage (depending on their privacy settings). It would be an easy place to find it.

Great suggestion - we'll be adding a link to a person's diary from their profile within the next day or so. The link will only be visible if they've set their diary privacy settings appropriately.

Hi! Did you add the link? I can't see it.

Yes, the link is there but it will only be visible if the person's diary can be viewed by you. Most profiles have their diary set to private, so you won't be able to see the diary link for most people.

Still can't get this to work.
