Smaller I Get, Bigger I Feel

Does anyone else have this problem?!  Logically, mathmatically, I KNOW that I am smaller (...I've lost 45 lbs...) I  KNOW that I am thinner, healthier, etc.

But the more weight I lose the unhappier I am with my body.

I think the problem is that I exzpect my body to look friggin' FABULOUS after this much effort and getting this much done, but my body has different ideas.

I AM a lot smaller, I look and feel SOOOOOOOO much better, but now I feel like I can see my flaws so much easier!!

This is so disheartening, and yet it drives me to continue my work..........

You are dwelling too much on what YOU THINK. . One of the things I've learned over the years is that sometimes the pictures and ideas in our heads are embedded there but aren't necessarily REAL or TRUE. . Open your mind. If it's been a long time (or never) since you've seen your body many sizes smaller than it was, chances are you've no clue what it's SUPPOSED TO look like, therefore, you are pre- or mis-conceived of what's right. . Enjoy the ride, and congratulations!!!

Yes, I feel the same way. You and I have similar starting points and goals, and I've too lost 43lbs, and feel like my body is pretty disgusting now. I notice certain things are gone, like large lovehandles and back fat rolls, but I focus on my remaining gut and the fat that overhangs my bra at the arms... Just remember how far you've come. Keep thinking about the logical!

Oh Gosh! I thought I was the only one who felt that way after 50 lbs. I still feel and think I am fat. I see the difference sometimes and am amazed that I am that much smaller then the next day I picture myself in my head and I am HUGE! sO obviously it is harder to get rid of that head picture than it was to get rid of the weight. wow.
