EXCUSES, EXCUSES, EXCUSES!!!!

So I had a million of reasons why not to work-out today. 1) I didnt work out yesterday! 2) its too hot  3) I'm to tired from work 4) I don't like to workout after my work 5) I dont like to work out in the evenings....the list goes on and on.

But then I thought about my WHY. WHY  I want to lose weight?  There is a billion of reasons WHY  I want to lose weight! So I thought of those instead and YES they out weighed my reasons not to work out!

I grabbed my TURBO JAM and picked the 20-minute dvd. I really wasnt in the mood to do it. After about 5 minutes I was hooked I wanted to finish the rest of the dvd.

I felt bad about not working out yesterday and my body felt it. Today at work there was a birthday party for one of the big boss's! It was her 40th birthday! So of course there was birthday cake. Yes, I had a piece. I took a small piece. I wanted more but I didnt. It was hard to say NO!!! But I thought about it and decided 'that I would rather be thinner!"

Granted there will always be birthday cake or some type of food that will get to you. Its part of life. You can have a small piece and then get on with your life. Food doesnt control you, you control the food! I'm glad that I had packed a healthy lunch and snacks for work today. It helped me stay focus and on track!

So remember when you feel like over-eating; think about your WHY! Keep you mind busy with other things and stay focus. Drink some water and if you truely want IT. Let yourself have a small piece that way you dont crave it and go overboard.

Very well said. Although I admit I did go a bit overboard today, I got hungry and ended up giving into my sweet tooth, the good news it was only a pack of rice cakes lol, so it could have been worse. But this is a great way to look at it. Even when we know the right way we sometime lose sight of what we need to do.

I think sometimes it does happen and we are only human!! Getting back on track is the best way to do it. I wont give up on myself this time!!!

It's funny in my journey I've learned that food has many emotional bonds. It's ok to reward yourself. Just don't let food make you feel "obligated" or "guilty". Sounds like you are doing awesome....keep up the good fight!
