Transformation Day 70 - "A Cat & Mouse" Day

Happy 70th to me!  Ok, so I could get all philisophical on you, and I just might, but not yet anyhow.  On sunday I lost over 3 lbs and as usual, was excited about it.  I didn't log it because I log on Fridays.  Today, I was up 2 lbs (not counting the Sunday).  I know its water weight.  I didn't drink alot yesterday.  I have trouble getting it down.  And that TOM, what a jerk.  I am not worring about this until official weigh in day, which is Friday, but I was so happy when it was the 3 down.  Hopefully it will come back.

I might be working out outside tonight, even if it is 95 degrees and extemely humid.  My hubby is out of town :( so I can eat light for dinner and exercise.  I miss him.  I especially miss him because this morning I got up to mousieness.    EEEK!  Only a couple of things freak me out in this world and I think mice top the list.  I can handle spiders, bugs, snakes.  Mice, no!  It rained heavily last night and we live in the country.  When it rains, mice will come in the house.  Well I woke up this morning and there was a dead one on the kitchen floor and all the floor level cupboards were open.  (Cats were busy cleaning cupboards).  I am a firm believer that a dead mouse will spring to life and become a zombie mouse and bite you.  I have seen them look dead and then you try to move them and they come to life.  I got the shovel and a broom and got it on the shovel and threw it over the fence.  My skin crawling the entire time.  My husband then got up (I would have woken him up, but he has a long trip today and my Siamese really wanted her mouse to bury under the couch with her other finds).  So he leaves and I don't know what possessed him but he came back just in time to hear me scream.  Georgia (my siamese) had chased a new mouse across my feet.  Dear Lord, it freaks me out just thinking about it!   Unfortunately the mouse went straight under the couch.  I took a shower really fast and left for work.  Before leaving, I explained to both cats that I expected a dead mouse on the kitchen floor when I got home and that it had to be in one piece!  (They tend to play tug of war with them and then you have bits all over).  I wish Hubby was home.   I told them if they didn't do their job, there would be no chicken for them.  So we shall see when I get home if I need new cats.  I couldn't even weigh myself before I left cause the scale is in the living room with my work out area.

I went to a new pizza place for lunch, zpizza.  It is supposed to be healthy, organic, etc.  Well people, guess what, healthy doesn't mean low calorie, apparently.  I got a wheat crust pizza and had some healthy stuff on it (mushrooms, chicken, artichokes, avocadoes, cheese).  I got a small pizza, like a personal one.  I ate 4 slices.  My friend ate her entire pizza and a salad.  They aren't that big.  Well, I just had a 736 calorie lunch!   I normally don't even have that many calories for dinner!  I am going to have corn on the cob for dinner and work out, it will be ok.  But I know the rules...research before you eat.  I didn't and now I am miffed I wasted the calories.  So, if the mouse is gone, I will try my new Jillian Michaels Fitness Ulimatum for the Wii.  IF there is still a possibility of mouse...yard work.  lol.

You guys are all great.  I couldn't do this without you.  I can't wait til I hit -50... thats a trip to Tiffany's for a charm for my bracelet!

Oh, update on belly dancing dvd...my dvd player in the livingroom doesn't work.  Have to get a new dvd player before I can use it.  We have a bluray in the bedroom, but the bedroom isn't big enough to work out in.  I tried and hit my hand on the ceiling fan... ouch.

TIP - Research research research.  You can preplan your meals and not have surprises like I did today.

you are cracking me up!!! I wish we lived closer, when the boys are away we could be each others' backups--mice don't bother me but I'm totally freaked out by spiders!

Totally can relate, grew up on a farm and mice were everywhere, barns, garage, house. When we let the cat population explode, that is when the micey started going away! haha! Now i live in an old farmhouse, i have a cat in the house and i still have gotten ,ice the last 2 years on occasion. can't stand them one bit and they make me scream like terrified child!! DOWN WITH MICE!

LMAO you are very funny! Thanks for the laugh! I am totally with you on the mice though. I am a firm believer that not only are there zombie mice, a mouse, even if it is across the room, will spot me, run to me and run right up my leg or jump on me! They are smart you know and they have the ability to think these attacks out!! *shutter* LOL

FUNNY!!! I agree on planning your meals out. I hate the suprise that what I thought was a healthy 400 calories turned out to be 700 calories. That's a lot of extra time on the tread mill to burn those off!!!!!!

Congratulations on having a high calorie lunch and then still staying in calorie range for the day! I live in the country (in Alabama, we call it the "sticks")and across from a very large field. If he ever mows or harvests for hay, the mice/rats come running. Hate it. hate them. But, I hate spiders and snakes and most bugs! So, you are a better person than I! And congratulations on the 3 pound loss!

Great post. I love you started off with a more comedic topic with your cats and the zombie mouse and it with an important lesson about eating and doing research. Very good.
