I often see posts from people complaining that others don't have their food diaries open.
These people are honestly miffed that they can't view what a stranger is eating everyday?
I'm confused and baffled by this reaction to a private diary. It is one thing if someone is on the forums and are asking for help. If you ask for help, have your diary open. Plain and simple.
But to get irritated because you're trolling around and can't view every single person's diary? What is up with that?
I personally have mine set to "friends only". For a long time it was private and then I added a key. I had a lot of friends send messages and ask to view it, so I set it "friends only". I'm an extremely picky eater and if you look at my diary, I tend to eat the same stuff all the time (or I will eat certain things one week and then something else for another week). I rarely try new things and I'm okay with it.
What I eat in a day is quite boring if I'm perfectly honest.
I've been accused of "hiding" because my diary wasn't public. I've been called a liar because people can't see what I eat, so they assume that I'm lying to them about something.
I rarely look at anyone else's food diary unless they specifically asked me to do so. I only comment if I've been asked to comment on it. I just don't see what the big deal is. I honestly don't give a crap what someone else is eating. If what they're eating works for THEM - who am *I* to tell them they're wrong?
In my opinion, people spend WAY too much time worrying about what everyone else is doing and too little time focusing on their own journey.
