Week 7. Today is the first day I get a few hours off to myself. I say that even though behind me is a stack of papers that need collating and delivering - about 3 hours of work. (My part time job)
It has all been worth it. The record for presales for the gym is 60 in a week. On Monday we did 15 sales. Tuesday we did 17. Last night we did 50. That's 82 in THREE DAYS.
We are likely to open on Wednesday. That gives me 6 more days of sales which look like being anything up to 20 per day.
Somehow 2 of us full time have managed over 220 sales in 4 weeks. We thought we'd open at 150, we now believe there is a chance we can open at 300.
The magic number. 300. The number where I get to call my boss and tell him I'm not coming back. The number where the 2 of us, who are both broken and destroyed from lack of sleep, stress and eating to survive get to pause for a moment and celebrate, before the chaos hits again with inductions.
We probably won't get another day off for a month. But we don't care.
It has been worth it. Yesterday the equipment came in. Today and tomorrow it will be put together. Next week we will open. The 12 months of waiting has finally come to an end for us.
As exhausted as I am, I CAN'T WAIT to get in and start training, testing all the equipment and testing my body on what it can achieve right now.
