C25K - Week 1 Day 2 (again)

So now that I've run outside a few times. Although I wouldn't call it running, but more like a 'shoggle' (shuffle-jog-hobble). It's a bogus word, but totally appropriate. I did do better today than on Sunday. I have to admit though, as soon as I got out to the park and saw two ladies running (effortlessly!) ahead of me. My heart sank to my stomach. I did not want to have these girls lap me while I huffed and puffed and blew myself down. But to my delight they veered off the park loop and onto the bike trail along the river. Wewt!

I wanted to slack off so badly today too! But I knew that I would be going out for lunch and indulging in a pedicure with my friend Sara, so I had to workout. My legs still hurt from Sunday too... Ugh! But I did it. AND I ran for all 8 of the run portions!! The 1st one: the full 60 seconds. The 2nd one: 50-55 seconds... so close! The last 6 were a crap shoot: 25-40 seconds each. :)

Max Speed: 7.51 mph
Distance: 1.92 miles
Calories Burned: 317
Avg HR: 145
Max HR: 178

And even though it has started to get colder out it's still warm enough, and beautiful enough, to enjoy being outside.

Thankfully it's not cold enough to make my breath fog up my glasses. Boy would that make for a bad day. But now I've got to run, haha, and get into the shower so I can meet my friend. What color shall I get my tootsies painted with today?

That pain in your legs in the pain of a strong runner in the making ;) ANd who cares if you aren't the best runner...at least you're running.
