I've learned two important lessons today with regards to my personal 30 Day Shred challenge:
1. working out at night is NOT for me.
2. trying to do level 3 after an INTENSE kickboxing workout earlier in the day is not such a great idea.
I was thinking that I could rotate between the three levels so that I wouldn't get bored. That is why I wanted to try out level 3 tonight. I got halfway though and then decided I was too tired to continue. I did 15 minutes of it though, so I'm going to count it and say I'm sticking to my 30-day plan. :)
I think I need to be smart about pairing my 30DS level with the activities I do earlier in the day. Days when I do kickboxing I will definitely do level 1. I'll do level 3 on the weekends when it is the only workout I do. Level 2 will be all other days. That should be a good mix! And I will stick to getting the workout done in the morning or during the kids' naptime because I am completely useless after 7pm!
Tomorrow morning I plan to run. Then I have a date with level 2 at 2pm! fun stuff!
