3 Days...

That is how long my "new plan" lasted.  ha.

I thought it was a great idea to set my calorie limit to maintenance and then not eat back my exercise calories.  I still think that creating a calorie deficit through exercise is a neat idea!  I'm just not ready yet.  Especially with this marathon less than two weeks away. The training for this marathon has totally screwed me up hormonally, and implementing a new eating plan right before the big race was probably not the best idea. (probably part of the reason for my terrible binge on Tuesday!)

Anyway, I'll be revisiting this idea again in the future.  For now, the cals are set back at 1200 and I'll be eating back my exericise calories!

I did manage to pull something from this (very short) experience that I will take with me. I've changed my macros to 40%carbs, 30%protein, 30%fat.  I'm working on ways to up my protein, and I've even changed my lunch from a turkey sandwich to a chicken wrap! (a big deal for this creature of habit!)

I'm a work-in-progress, folks!  I am flawed and at times confused, but my intentions are good!  As they say, 'it is better to try and fail than to not try at all'!

You are very lucky that you are so in tune with your body, I think more people could benefit from this insight. Marathons are a different breed of running and need to be treated with much respect.
