Running the Gauntlet
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! I got through Halloween without stuffing 10 peices of candy in my mouth!! I bought a SMALL bag of ButterFinger Crisp (a little less sugar in those) and a bag of carmels (the icky kind), and all I took was one of the Butterfingers.
That's it. The candy was gone in about 20 minutes from the trick-or-treaters, and we shut the door and turned off the light. Gone, baby, gone!
On a sour note, I was doing my weight routine and I got pains in my chest during my lateral oblique work, (at it's worst). It's subsided for now, but that's scary. Because I know I don't have any history of heart disease, I wonder if I might have an aortic/abdominal aneurysm. They're very common, but tend to run in the family, and to date, I have not heard of anyone in my family having it. I hope it's a gas bubble and nothing more. The last thing I need right now is a major illness. I"m a failure as a bread-winner - I barely earn over $12 an hour and probably never will do more than a 3.25% cost-of-living increase yearly if I stay in the job I'm in now. A catastrophic illness would bankrupt me for sure.
