I would like to reach out and ask where everyone is from. How far they've come on their journey and tips or tricks you would like to share?
My name is Chasidy, for those of you who don't know. I live in Wilmington, NC. I want everyone to know that you can succeed if you just believe! You have to change your mind before you can change your body. Meaning that you cannot let the negative voice inside your head win. You have to IGNORE the voice or CHANGE it! Tell yourself you CAN and WILL do everything in your power to make this change forever because you deserve so much happiness. This is a kind of happiness I could never of imagined and I wish the world could experience it.
Now it's your turn. Tell me a little bit about yourself, where you are from, and any advice you've learned along the way!
It's practically the end of March already and boy did I have no idea what 2013 would have in store for me. The first week of January our car broke down and that was the day I missed my log in streak with MFP. (Would have been 525 days on January 5th) Did I also mention that my computer broke a few days before that. I was bummed for a while, but I didn't let it keep me down. I'm very proud of myself and how far I've come.
I am determined to reach my goals because it's what I want. In my opinion the secret to this whole "weight loss" is the want to lose weight, but ACTUALLY wanting to do it. Wanting it to the point of sweat and tears. Wanting it so badly that you know nothing else is an option. That feeling of want is called determination. You know deep down that you are determined to do whatever it takes to get yourself the one thing you want the most. If losing weight is something that you want, you will do it! You have to stay dedicated everyday, one day at a time. It's so worth it! When I workout and eat healthy, I feel more alive and focused. I look forward to give more updates during my continued transformation! =D
So I've been holding back for the past few months...but I've re-challenged myself for the start of 2013. It happens to so many of us, we let life and old habits kick in. No more excuses, no more settling for less then what I know I deserve. I will re-commit to being the person I want to become. This challenge is for myself and I've accepted it. I didn't want to discourage anyone, so I just kept things to myself, but it's time to finish what I started. I will re-weigh in tomorrow...changing my ticker :( BUT I will not be discouraged because 2012 flew by, like every year will continue to do, as long as we are blessed enough to be here on this beautiful earth. As we enter a new year, I thank God for every blessing He has given me, my family, and my friends. Here's to a rocking NEW YEAR! I welcome you 2013 and the challenges you may bring!
MrsGreenTea703 has logged in for 365 days in a row! I'm so glad that I joined this website! Not only have I changed my life, I've met amazing friends, my husband and I met our hero Chris Powell, we were featured on Good Morning America, I've inspired many of my family and friends without really knowing it, and I've enjoyed every moment along the way. I'm very proud of what I've accomplished and what I will accomplish in the next 365 days!
I'm so thankful to past Chasidy for having the determination to lose over 100 pounds and starting when she did, so I wouldn't have to say this year "Oh I'll start on MONDAY" Instead, 365 days ago my husband and I decided enough was enough. We've learned so much along the way and are very thankful for those who inspired us. A special thanks to Chris Powell and the Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Edition team! Without that show I don't think it would have ever clicked for me. These were morbidly obese people dedicating one year of their lives to get healthy and they had some amazing transformations and I'm so thankful it's back on again this year! It's such an amazing and inspiration show! If you haven't watched it you should watch Jacqui's or Tony's episode and the new episode is Jonathan and his transfomation comes on August 5th! If they could do it, we could do it. And that's been our attitude ever since. Also the support of my amazing husband, he is the true reason behind our success. With all his delicious meals and wonderful research we have everything we need to stay healthy and continue working on our goals. What's one year that you dedicate? When you gain back so many years of your life! Time flies by so fast, don't let it pass you by without ever knowing the possibilities of your body. YOU ARE WORTH IT! Every sweat and tear is worth it because YOU deserve the happiness and healthiness you get with this healthy lifestyle change.
So today marks the day I've lost 100 pounds total! I'm shocked and excited and couldn't be more happier! Before this journey I had no idea what I wanted "to be when I grew up", no direction in life because I thought that I would always be over 200 pounds and obese as the doctors told me everytime I went to visit them. "You need to lose some weight" Without the knowledge that I've learned over the past 10 months I'm not sure I would have been as successful. My husband is an amazing man and has helped encourage me and I'm very proud of him as well. He's lost 75 pounds to date.
I can tell you that I set a goals for myself every three months and I have had the most dedication and consistency when it comes to food because I'm determined to reach my goals! Never giving up! I'm not at my goal weight yet, but I know I WILL get there. By taking it one day at a time and drinking plenty of water! I now know what I want to be "when I grow up", I want to help others to believe in themselves to get healthy. I would love to be a personal trainer or life coach, something to help encourage others to believe in themselves. You have to believe in yourself and know you really can do anything you put your mind to with hard work and dedication! I have a passion for helping others, I always have, but the direction that this journey has lead me to is so amazing.
I'm thankful for Chris Powell, Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Edition, Rachel Oliver, Cassandra Sturos, Jacqui McCoy, and most of all my husband.
PS-Did I mention that I bought my first bikini yesterday and I love it! So exciting! YAY!
I'm trying on a bra in both pictures! Same phone for size comparison
Love Chris Powell! Tony is so amazing! His story is truly inspirational! He's gone through more in a year then anyone may ever experience in their life time. There are NO excuses when you actually want something and you work as hard as he did to get to his goals! ONE DAY AT A TIME!
Thank you again Chris Powell for all that you do! My husband and I are forever in your debt! It's been 10 months since we've started our journey and I'm still amazed at the person I am today and the fact that Chris Powell is truly proud of our hard work and accomplishments and that he wanted to meet us to congratulate us, is still surreal.
Chris Powell is a life changer, I know because he changed mine and my husbands life forever! So blessed for Chris Powell! I still cannot believe we were lucky enough to meet him. Thank you Chris and Tony for another amazing transformation!
Talk about so close! 150 was my original goal because it was the healthy BMI and the more weight I lost, the more I knew that I would have more to lose. Here is a picture of my BMI scale...talk about sooooo close! =)
