Jealousy and Running Revisited
Wow! A HUGE thank you for all the encouraging words from all the people in MFP land!
I need to say that I do have a wonderful, tremendous, studendous training partner in the person of MFH (My Favorite Husband)! He is terrific! We have logged over 1,000 miles together this year running and running and running. He is my partner and tutor in running and I cannot say enough positive things about him.
We are running this marathon together! It will be one of the highlights of our 28+ years of marriage. We are both looking forward to this...can hardly wait.
This is going to be a runcation. You know, a vacation centered around a run. We are traveling next Wednesday. We will be flying into Conneticut and then driving over to Maine. We intend to see a lot of New England.
My sister and her family really, really, really wanted to come up and cheer us on, but due to school schedules (3 kids and BIL is a professor at MSU) that was not a do-able thing. BUT what they did do (and this is awesome!)~~~is get us the full weeks lodging in Maine. We do not have to pay a thing as far as a roof over our head for 10 days! How cool is that!?! I know my sister would be there if it were humanly possible~it just isn't.
My parents are still "mum" on the subject~nary a "Good luck to you" or "How's the training going" or anything. I finally unfriended them on FB and my mom is on MFP and I have unfriended her here as well. She never, ever has commented once on any of my posts and complained when I gave her an atta girl on her posts...complained that the emails my comments generated were clogging up her inbox. So, I quit commenting and finally said "sayonara".
So, yes, I am thankful to all of you MFPers! You have lightened my heart. Made me feel happy for my MFP friends...
