WATER v. Coca-Cola

This should be a NO BRAINER for everyone, but apparently people still don't understand that WATER is the essence of life and Coke is slowly killing you. So here are the stats. For those trying to lose weight, really read the part about MILD dehydration and your metabolism. Join me on my gallon a day quest and GET WITH THE PROGRAM! It's your body you're saving. Who cares if you have to pee more? It's your body's way of FLUSHING the toxins you take in every single day. Seriously, the information below on Coke is so disgusting.

1. 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated.

2. In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger.

3. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one’s metabolism as much as 30%.

4. One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of Washington study.

5. Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.

6. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.

7. A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.

8. Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer.

And now for the properties of COKE

1. In many states (in the USA) the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the truck to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.

2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of coke and it will be gone in two days.

3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and let the “real thing” sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.

4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.

5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.

6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.

7. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before the ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy.

8. To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your windshield.

For Your Info

1. The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 2.8. It will dissolve a nail in about 4 days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase in osteoporosis.

2. To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must use the Hazardous material place cards reserved for Highly corrosive materials.

3. The distributors of coke have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years!

Now the question is, would you like a glass of water or coke?

I am thankful my mom limited my soda consumption as a kid. I never truly acquired the taste for soda. Plain water, and recently flavored seltzer water, is my preference!

I recently stopped drinking soda and I usually stick to water! I try to stay away from caffeine.

I dont drink soda nor do i let my little boy drink it purely for the amount of sugar they contain or in the case of sugar free the other ingredients added instead of sugar. I never really took in the acidity level of it before very informative thanks :)

Thankfully I actually don't like that much soda and will only drink a can or two a month. Maybe when I go to the movies once in a while I'll get a cup, but I never finish those huge cups they decide one person should drink. I love water but somehow I don't drink enough of it, I've been sick plenty of times from dehydration because I'm a dummy and don't remember I should be drinking 8 glasses of water a day. There is a glass with water in my room at all times, which is good because I always get thirsty before I go to bed. People don't get it, just because you drink coke zero it doesn't mean its not bad for you, as stated in this blog, its corrosive stuff and really bad for your innards. I've tried telling this to my best friend who doesn't want to believe me,that its not only about the calories and sugar, but thankfully he has cut down quite a bit since I met him 8 years ago.

This is very enlightening. As a young adult, I want to share the importance of water to everyone I know! People just don't realize how bad soda can be for you, I must say I am guilty. Little things like this is why I want to make this lifestyle change:)

Well, let me be honest! I still WANT the Coke but I will DRINK the water!

No matter the stats and how much "in your face" preaching people can/will do, COKE will always taste better than WATER!
