Journal Entry 2/21/13
Good morning, everyone!
So far I'm sharing Bible study with kristina1709 and I bet Elliehmltn, once she's back from Florida...
I have a few more people in mind who I thought would also want to come along on this adventure but maybe they just haven't read that blog yet... *shrug* I dunno.
Anyways UPDATE:
Yesterday was Wednesday. During the day I made this sweet spreadsheet. Lemme show ya:
Pretty cool, right? The Red means I'm OVER (bad) Yellow means I'm UNDER (also bad) And Green means I'm IN THE ZONE (good). :D
After work I went to Circuits class - our instructor, Mike, had apparently fallen off the back of a truck and landed on his hip. He said it wasn't a bruise so much as he thinks he pulled the muscle too hard when he landed, so it's pretty sore. We were like O_O "Why are you here." ugh. He can be stubborn, it seems. Anyways he didn't participate in the workout, but it was a doozy. I needed my inhaler once and I burned 307 calories. Really great workout. At the end I was like "Whew! Great workout, Mike, thanks!" and he's like "Yeah, I'm actually kinda jealous I didn't get to do it. :( " lawls #gymrat
Anyways then I walked to my car - and along the way I found some ice that had done that thing where there's a thin piece of ice and you step on it and it's like CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH :D so I walked around on the crunchy ice bits for a while, and people looked at me funny cuz I looked like a special child.
Then I went home and I was thinking about where I can purchase just... roasted eel (not raw, guys, it's usually roasted in sushi, c'mon) and be able to bring it home and weigh it out and eat it with rice, or raw tuna and bring it home and weigh it out and eat it with rice and avocado and cucumber... Cuz the problem with going out for sushi is that there's no way you're going to get an accurate calorie record. If you start asking the staff, they freak out because they think something is wrong, and they don't understand "nutrition facts" and then you feel bad for asking. #thishashappened. o_O
Anyways, tuna is a great source of protein and it's good to have fish in your diet because of the omega stuff... avocado (in small amounts) is good because of the types of fats, and eel, while high in fat, also contains the omega goodness... okay eel would actually be a treat, but tuna is definitely good. :P Anyways I would be able to track those calories much better if I could buy the ingredients themselves. But where can I get them super duper fresh and be sure that they have been frozen to a temperature that is proven to have killed anything harmful in the meat? Any advice in this area? Maybe Big Y or Stop & Shop... those stores tend to be a bit higher quality than ShopRite or Price Chopper... I would trust them to have done a good job - I wonder if they sell raw tuna though........ hm....... maybe I will call them? Maybe...
Also I was thinking how I would love to have a video camera set up in my car so that I can make videos of myself talking when I'm driving. I always think up stuff that I want to say out loud as I drive, so I want to do that and have it save to a file I can upload to a flash drive and then upload to the intarwebz. Or just upload directly... that would be cool... SOMEthing. I don't care.
Aaaaaand anyways I got home, made a protein shake with Dannon Light & Fit Greek Yogurt ~*PINEAPPLE*~ :o #omg and an organic banana, and some organic skim milk, and a scoop of chocolate protein powder aaaand because the pineapple is actually not as tasty as the blueberry, and since I'm going towards tropica anyways, about two tablespoons of this dairy-free coconut milk ice cream. It tastes super coconut-y and it's awesoooooome <3<3<3 Then I got a straw for Suki and played fetch with her till it was about time to go to 40 Days.
I got changed and actually washed my hair before going cuz my hair was all schvetty and gross...
Anyways we didn't do much at 40 Days. We watched the video, and talked about what he had said, and tried to figure out what we were going to do next for our Bible studies. I started to sign up for stuff on my laptop but I was on a public network so I didn't want to start inputting information. Robin brought coffee cake to the study and I had some... it was really tasty... :( Then my tummy wasn't feeling too good and I wanted to go home. Other people weren't really feeling the hang-around vibe like usual, so we just finished about an hour early. Then walking out to the parking lot we saw a FOX!!! I was like OMG GUYS A FOX A FOX LOOK LOOK LOOK And they're like yeah good thing it's not a coyote. And I'm like o_O You guys it's a FOX. They are WICKED COOL and beautiful and there are some in our woods! This is very exciting - WHY AREN'T YOU AS EXCITED AS ME O_O But they weren't as excited as me and they were busy chatting........ -_- I don't understand grown-ups... :(
When I got home I started signing up on 40DaysInTheWord on my raptop and downloaded YouVersion on my phone. (Both were free woopwoop)
Aaaaand I went to sleepz.
Woke up this morning at around 4am and started doing my Day 1 stuff and wrote a blog. #pewpewpew
Clocked in to work at 6:40am and I'm going to clock out at 3:45pm to get to Semi-private. Jenn is going to be there despite her injury. Turns out she has a hairline fracture in her lower spine. :( Hopefully she's in a wheelchair or something?? I don't know. :/
Anyways after that I have to go to the bank and get some cash (I paid for breakfast this morning with the change from my piggy bank, lol) and I have to go to the pet store and get Suki some canned cat food because she meows super-pathetically at me asking for it and I don't have any. #iknewthiswouldhappen Oh and also get another thing of kitty litter. At the pet store I go to, there's just a huge container of kitty litter. And you can buy certain size containers and bring the empty container back to the store to re-fill them. The unit price is way lower than the other stuff. I have one container already, and I figure I'll get two so I can get one filled and have the other one ready to go, and just keep cycling through. Lots easier than going through box after box after box. :P
Aaaaand that's the plan! Talk to you all soon! <3<3<3

Thanks for making me laugh today, except for the part that made me shudder.
OK, I will read the Bible with you. I haven't logged on to the 40 Days site, but during the truck ride to FL, I read the Verse of the Day on my Bible phone app, then the whole chapter, then the whole chapter in The Message version (not very poetic but often drives home a point I'd missed), then Psalm 139, which I've been thinking about a lot lately.
Gotta check out that website but..... my husband wants computer time, too. I don't want to hog it.
