Looking at the Big Picture

Feeling a little disappointed about this month's measuring, and not loosing any weight, I went for a walk and came home with a new outlook. I started thinking about how far I have come since January 2012. I feel so much better healthwise, I am stronger in my legs and arms, I feel and see a difference in how I think about food, and clothes are fitting better or loose. 

I measure today and only saw a smaller number before me giving me a bad feeling in my mouth. Talking to my husband about it.. him and I agreed that I need to look at the Big Picture:

1. I log my diary daily, I never really kept track of what I ate. 

2. I enjoy workouts and miss them when I am unable to get to one or two of them. I have always hated exercise!! It took too much time and I never had time (wrong!!).

And Finally:

3. Measuring myself back in January up to today:

Neck: down 2.5 inches. 

Bicep: down 3.5 inches

Forearm: down 3 inches

Chest: down 7 inches 

Waist: down 9 inches

Hips: down 9 inches

Thigh: down 5.5 inches

Calf: down 3

In 5 months I have accomplished a lot, sometimes all you need is to look back from where you came from!!! A great reminder from my husband.

Great way of looking at it...and you have come so far!! Those are a lot of inches lost and the fact that you are in a better place then you were 5 months ago (sounds like health wise and mentally)makes it all worth it!! Keep up the hard work and the great mind set!!

he is wise. And you are definitely gaining muscle! you may want to take pics (for yourself) Sometimes you can see a big difference even when the scales don't show a big difference. You are changing your mind and your body--not an easy feat, but you're doing it! :D

I agree...If you look at the big picture you have done a phenomenal job! And with those measurement changes I am certain that people are recognizing the difference from 5 months ago. Keep up the great work!!!
