Only eighteen days until vacation!!!
Humm, I wonder what I'll have to look forward to after the Cayman Islands... but for now, I need to buckle down and get ready for my summer vaca. This past weekend at the lake was a much needed mini-break from everything and now I'm refreshed and ready to push hard till vacation. Plus, I think I ate half a pan of peanut-butter-double-brownines by myself (thanks, Vanessa), and I'm certain I finished off a handle of vodka by myself. Needless to say, my tummy is ready to resume normal activities. I'm severely sunburned (thanks, expired sun screen) so work outs today could be a bit uncomfortable, but thats NO excuse!
Rather than do weekly goals, I'm doing a 18 Day Vacation Prep Challenge to keep me motivated until I board the plane. This type of challenge was really successful before my New York trip to see Morgan so I'm certain I can do it again! Since 100% paleo isn't working, each day I'm allowed ONE "treat" per day. I get really psyched out with the all-or-nothing mentality so its nice to have a little wiggle room. I don't have to have a treat, but I'm allowed ONE if needed. This "treat" is ONE SERVING of something that is non-paleo like a glass of wine or 13 Wheat Thins. I still won't eat bread or grains since I dont have any of those things in my house, but having one treat will be more manageable to stick to until vacation. I have great meals planned for this week and I'll follow suit the next two weeks as well, since this is the key to me being successful.
I purchased one more uber sexy bikini from Victoria's Secret yesterday BUT I'm only allowed to keep it IF I meet my two goals of eating 99% paleo and exercing 90% of the time or more. 90% means I can have two food slip up days (i.e. bachelorette party and Girl's Night Out) and three missed exercises. I mean it, if I miss these goals, that bikini gets returned and does not get to be flaunted on the beach! I need to learn that just because something "special" is going on, it doesnt mean that I can go crazy. I can still have fun and eat sensibly while planning my work outs accordingly.
