About Me
Hey there everyone. I am an 18 year old trying to get into shape and trying to reach my weight goal of 118. While I have never been obese, I have been considered "larger" my whole life. I am a girl that has always had larger legs, larger breasts, and larger arms but I have always been extremely athletic. It wasn't until my sophomore year of high school that I began to pack on the lbs.
I tore my ACL then slipped into depression and there was no going back from there. Within a year i went from an athletic 150 to 180 lbs. I was miserable. It didn't actually hit me until I wanted to go out for my 18th birthday(my senior year of high school) weekend and none of my clothes fit and i felt disgusting! I had a terrible time that night(all gross/sweaty/uncomfortable/out of breath on the dance floor) and that is when I decided to change. I went shopping and bought tons of boneless skinless chicken, veggies, fruit, grains, and low fat dairy. I began to structure my meals and workout in ways that made sense (consistent workouts, variation, running, and yoga), I also began to log my food and exercise on here and I found other weight loss forums.
It has been about 9 months since I started my weight loss journey (without the breaks it has been...4 months) and I am 42lbs down with 20 more to go. I hope I can lose the remainder by August before I start college. So Wish me luck!
Why I Want To Get In Shape
I want to be in shape so that I will be comfortable with myself (no unnecessary sweating or uncomfortable rolls when I lay down), and I do not want to be even CLOSE to the weight of any of my family members who suffer with weight issues.

YOUR DOING AN AMAZING JOB. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
Hey girl. Glad to hear that everything is well and that you are still in the game :) It is definitely hard but I agree that what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.
Me? I'm still hanging in there. Though I feel stuck again. I think I might need to switch up the caloric intake. My body adapts too fast... Other than that still working hard, trying to squeeze in 60 minutes of exercise 6 days a week.
Keep up the good work. I'll be back to check on you again in about two to three weeks.

Hey girlie. Still in the cal counting game? I'm still here, slowly but surely chugging along. I hope you are well and that your studies are going great. Have a great rest of the week.
