I have been on MyFitnessPal since February 19, 2011. I weighed 365lbs. My first eight months here, I lost 65lbs. From October 2011 to April 2012, I lost an additional 25lbs for a grand total of 90lbs. Then I started backsliding.. and day by day, getting less and less exercise.. until I completely quit. I'd go weeks without logging in, then sporadically login telling myself I was going to get back on track (and then quit again).. Well, no more. On January 1, 2013, I weighed 309lbs -- up from 273lbs. Talk about disappointment. I am here, like it or not, FOR GOOD.
Why I want to get in shape
I want to get in shape first and foremost for myself. I woke up one day and realized I wasn't doing myself any favors. Secondly, there are three children in my life I did not give birth to, but proudly proclaim as mine. They deserve to have me around as long as possible for the simple fact there ain't no other "Sissy" as unique as me.
- Seeing physical changes become more prominent by the day.
- I am feeling more confident in my appearance.
- I feel better when I exercise.
- I threw out my old "fat clothes".. and now I need them. That sucks.
