About Me

I'm a mother of 2 (daughter 3.5 yrs and son 20 months). I've been married to my fantastic husband for 5 years now and I love my life!

June 8th - Let the journey begin!

June 28th - Wow! I hit the 10lb mark!! Now I REALLY can't wait to cross the 200lb mark back into the 100's.

July 20th - Exactly 6 weeks into my new life and I've officially broken 200lbs... BACK IN THE 100'S BABY! YEAH!!

July 24th - 6 weeks and 3 days and I'm down TWENTY pounds. What a feeeelin'....

August 6th - 8.5 weeks now and I've hit the TWENTY FIVE pounds lost mark! Wow..

Posted my first before pic. That was hard to do! This was a couple of years ago but still totally accurate. The one where I'm wearing black and sitting at the table.

August 19th - weigh in at 189 lbs!!! Wow, I'm so excited to be back in the 180s! 10 weeks and 27lbs down and I'm feeling great.

August 24th - caught a motivating glimpse in the mirror at the gym today... my arms are getting buff! Ah how I've missed my muscular arms. So glad they're making a comeback!

August 27th - I've lost THIRTY POUNDS!!! Wow. :D

October 9th - 4 months in to this amazing new life. I hit a 3 to 4 week plateau for September, my biggest test yet. But today, a week after breaking my plateau, I am FINALLY feeling back in the game!!! That 1/2 way point is right around the corner!

October 16th - Beat my HALF WAY POINT BABY!!!! WOOHOO! Although I've now come farther than I have yet to go, I know the biggest challenges are yet to come. Bur right now I'm on a roll, still excited to see the scale move again after my September plateau, and feeling amazing!

Here is the breakdown (theoretically) of my goals to come:

November 24th: 173lbs (back in the healthy bmi range)
December 23rd: 165lbs (2lbs a week since November)
January 13th: 162.5lbs (if I can see a loss over the holidays I think that's GREAT! Plus, it would be the lowest weight I've seen since the age of 16!)
January 29th: 160lbs (on my son's birthday)
March 5th: 155lbs
May 14th: 150lbs (a 70lb weight loss!)
October 3rd: 140lbs (my goal weight, on my birthday - a loss of 80lbs)
We'll see how the numbers compare to my physique when the goal gets closer, but for now that gives me something to aim for!

Why I Want To Get In Shape

Despite being a dancer since I was 3 and having been a competitive dancer at that, I've always been chubby. And I LOVE being active and playing sports, hiking, walking... In fact, I hold my certification in personal training! Before getting pregnant with my daughter 4.5 years ago I discovered a thyroid condition that doesn't HELP my weight issue, but in all honesty it's also about the food. On top of a super healthy diet I was also rewarding my sweet tooth during times of stress. I want to be a better role model for my children and I deserve a healthier body for myself too!!

My Inspirations

  • I will live a LONG, HEALTHY life!
  • I will be a better role model for my children!
  • I will feel good taking control of my own life!
  • I will be a happier person when my body is healthier!

Thanks so much!

Yes, the hair cutting event of July I think it was!! haha! My hair does grow fast. A lot of my pics have my hair wet though and it does curl up a bit more still. I may go trim it again soon.

How is everything with you?? You look great!
