About Me
I'm 24 and in September 2007 weighing in at 306 pounds I decided to try to lose weight for real. I did loads of research and spent a month planning. This was not my first diet/lifestyle change but I was determined it was going to be my last one and amid the Holidays, finding out my metabolism burned slower than the calculators said it should as well as that any carbohydrates I ate on a low calorie diet would make me gain and my grandmother's illness and death. I managed to lose 66 pounds. I joined MyFitnessPal because I'm looking for support for the next part of the journey where I hope to not just lose pounds and inches but to begin taking better care of myself in all possible ways to be both healthy and look good.
Why I Want To Get In Shape
I'm sick of being tired and looking in the mirror and knowing that my outside doesn't fit the person who is on the inside. I'm scared to death of being in the situation my mom is in with Type 2 Diabetes. I just want to be healthy and look good.
My Inspirations
- An old pair of my dad's jeans (seventy style bootcut) with a 29 inch waist.
- Being energetic enough to wear out my 3 year old nephew and 8 year old niece.
- Getting out and going on with my life.

Thank you! I am trying, its kind of hard to keep in my calories but i am taking it slowly, I am glad you are doing well!
