About Me
I'm 5'-7" & started my weight loss journey at 196.0 lbs. June 2008 with a 2 month old. I've had a life-long battle with my weight (being both too high & too low). My family has a history of diabetes & high cholesterol. I've had 3 babies in 3 years & my body shows it. I'm a stay-at-home mom & I love it, but having the fridge & pantry there all day long has not helped me in the past. Also, my husband is the ultimate diet jerk (as I like to call him). He doesn't think twice about getting out the ice cream while I'm doing crunches in the middle of our living room floor. He's my biggest fan & loves me dearly, but doesn't understand why I need to take this journey.
Update 10/18/08: now that I've lost 30#, my dh finally gets it. :) He forgot how I used to look & feel & now that I'm on my way & feeling better about myself, he's discovered why. Makes it a happier place around here at meal time.
Why I Want To Get In Shape
For my husband & my children. I need to be around a long time to make sure they don't run with scissors. :)
My Inspirations
- My best friend, she's kicking butt on this site!
- My children, the reason I need to live a long time & set good examples
- My husband, I want to look like he thinks I do...that made sense, right?
- That trip back to Hawaii we're planning. I will wear a swimsuit this time!!!
